Video: Manchester United's Pogba goes on Umrah pilgrimage

Muscat: Football club Manchester United's star midfielder Paul Pogba shared his ongoing trip to Mecca with followers on social media, where the Frenchman is performing Umrah during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In an Instagram video titled 'God is Greatest', Pogba said, “Only the person who comes here, that can understand the feeling. So I hope the people that never been here yet, they all will one day."

The footballer's video quickly went viral, generating more than 4.5 million views with over 35,000 comments left by the midfielders fans around the world.

Pogba's pilgrimage comes in the run-up to the 2018 World Cup in June, where he will join his teammates in Didier Deschamps squad in Russia. In Group C, France will play their first match against Australia on June 16 in Kazan, before facing Denmark five days later in Ekatarinburg, and rounding off the group stage against Peru on June 26, 2018.
