This major expressway will be completed next year

Muscat: The Minister of Transport and Communication announced that the Al Sharqiyah Expressway will be completed by mid-2019.
Dr. Ahmed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communication said on Oman TV, "Al Sharqiyah Expressway will be completed in the middle of next year."
The entire Sharqiyah Expressway project is 116km long and spans from Wilayat Bidbid in A'Dakiliyah to Wilayat Ibra in Northern Sharqiyah.
As of now, 75 per cent of the first tunnel has been completed, the tunnel is about 600 metres long, while the second tunnel is 1,500 metres long.
