Expat women in Oman's medical sector can no longer sponsor their children

Muscat: All expat women working in the government and private sector under the Ministry of Health (MOH) will now not be able to sponsor their children in Oman, a circular issued by MOH said.
An official from MOH later confirmed this and said that all their female expat employees will now have to transfer their children's visa to their husband's employer's visa.
The circular read, "All female employees [will have] to transfer their children’s visa to their husband’s employer's visa both in government and private sector."
The notice issued on May 10 further read, “This should be done within three months of receiving the notice.” The notice added that tickets and financial compensation for tickets and free treatment will now not be provided to children under the MoH visa.
