Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will take part in the International Furniture and Decoration Expo (Style Home) in Kuwait, which opens on Wednesday.

The Sultanate will be represented by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE).

The Sultanate’s participation is in line with its keenness to promote Omani products locally and internationally.

The exhibition aims at introducing import, export and manufacturing entities to visitors from around the world, which will eventually promote trade and exports in Oman.

The exhibition hopes to meet the needs of the Arab markets, promote products, and offer a platform to exchange experiences among countries.

In addition to organising local exhibitions and events, PEIE has participated in a number of international events in cooperation with the private sector in the first quarter of 2018. These were the International Fair of Khartoum in January, Gulfood 2018 in UAE in February, International Agro Food Expo in Kuwait in March, and Malaysia International Halal Showcase in April.

This was to complement the objectives of the Origin Oman campaign, a national initiative to encourage consumers and organisations to buy Oman-made goods and services, promote national pride in the manufacturing industry and highlight the economic importance of buying locally manufactured products and services.
