ROHM to host Vietnamese show for the first time

Muscat: The Royal Opera House Muscat will be hosting a show from Vietnam - À Ố - for the first time.
The title that was created from the Vietnamese words for village (lang) and city (po) will be presented by Lune Production.
The show that is ranked number one in Vietnam, and has been staged in more than twelve countries, has gentle humour and captures the richness of Vietnam’s culture, past and present. The country’s transition from village to city culture is portrayed and the dramatisation finds harmony in chaos as peaceful village life is contrasted with the noise and racing discordance of urbanisation.
Amid evocative sets, the show is rendered in a beautiful blend of genres with a unique stage language in dance choreography, acrobatics, bamboo cirque, theatre, sophisticated lighting effects and live music featuring seventeen Vietnamese musical instruments.
The show will be hosted on Thursday, 19 April at 7:30 pm and Saturday 21 April at 4:00 pm. For further information and booking consult the ROHM website: www.rohmuscat.org.om
