Deputy PM Sayyid Fahd in Saudi Arabia for 29th Arab Summit

Dhahran: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers arrived at King Abdulaziz Airbase here on Saturday, leading the Sultanate’s delegation on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, for taking part in the 29th Arab Summit.
Sayyid Fahd was received by Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, governor of Eastern Province; Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman Al Saud, deputy to governor of Eastern Province; Fahd Al Jabeer, secretary of Eastern Province; Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League and a number of Saudi officials.
On arrival, for the two-day summit, Sayyid Fahd gave a statement in which he expressed his honour in taking part in this summit on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
In his speech, Sayyid Fahd also spoke about His Majesty’s follow up and concern on all latest developments at the regional and international levels.
He also said that Oman stresses its deep-rooted brotherly ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also wished the Saudi people further progress and prosperity.
Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers is accompanied by a delegation comprising Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Legal Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development and a number of government officials.
