Initiative for jobs: Tamkeen Ann inaugurated

Muscat: Author Ann Al Kindi’s Ann Employment (Tamkeen Ann) Initiative was inaugurated by Dar Al Atta’a Association, along with the Thawani Platform to activate electronic donations for its empowerment programme.
Vice-president of Dar Al Atta’a Association Eman Al Wahaibi said: “We are working at Dar Al Atta’a to promote the culture of giving. “To reach these goals, we are constantly looking for partners who can help us apply the latest methods of fund-raising.”
In this case, the three-party agreement will allow the immediate transfer of donations to the association’s accounts through the multi-featured Thawani application. Al Kindi said: “I came up with the idea of turning my website into a platform for charity work through the Omani application Thawani, where visitors can visit my website www.annalkindi.net to donate to Dar Al Atta’a Association. Donations will go to the empowerment programme that I chose because of its importance and the sustainability of its results.” The programme works to empower youth with limited income by training them and increasing access to better jobs.
Founder and chief executive officer of Thawani Majid Ben Faeel Al Amiri added: “The Thawani platform for electronic payment contributes to facilitating donations processed to charity works.”
The Thawani application is expected to make donations to Dar Al Atta’a Association easier, irrespective of the donation amount.
Thawani recently launched its first operational application for free download on Google Play and the Apple Store. It is expected to be one of the easiest modes of electronic payment in the Sultanate.
