Ambassador to Oman highlights Pakistan's contributions to peace

Muscat: Pakistan’s ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman Ali Javed recently spoke about his country’s “Peaceful Neighbourhood” policy at the National Defence College (NDC), the highest seat of learning for Military and Civil Officers in the Sultanate.
Javed also highlighted the core strengths and strategic overlap of bilateral relations, evolving regional dynamics and Pakistan’s efforts to build, protect and promote global peace and security evidenced by contributions to UN Peace Keeping Operations and Maritime Security & Anti-Piracy operations.
The Ambassador was welcomed by Major General Salim bin Mussallam bin Ali Qatan, Commandant NDC. Both dignitaries praised historical bilateral links and committed to furthering bilateral cooperation and exchanges.
Javed also praised the five decades of the leadership of His Majestyof Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the Sultanate for hosting 272,000 Pakistani expatriates, the fifth largest Pakistani community worldwide.
