Wadi Accelerator registrations open until end-March

Muscat: Wadi Accelerator, one of Oman Technology Fund (OTF) investment programmes, proceeds with registrations of tech start-ups in their seed and accelerator stage until March 31. The registration is processed through the website page: (www.wadiaccelerator.com) and the programme’s social media platforms.
The programme invests in market tech start-ups which are still in the seed stage of an amount of $100,000 and follow on investments based on achieved traction performance at $150,000 to $400,000.
Wadi’s Investment Manager Charles Ell, said, “Our team will link, through its connections and partnerships, between investors and institutions from Asia and the Middle East, and the start-ups.”
The three-month programme aims to accelerate and train regional tech start-ups in partnership with the international fund “500 Start-ups” that is based in San Francisco.
Recently, Wadi invested in five Omani and regional tech start-ups in their seed and accelerator stage: InnoBox, Tayyar Systems, Mandoob, Foodville and AlgoDriven.
The companies joined training and consultative courses, on a regular basis, on developing marketing plans, dealing with customers and introducing methods of projects management, expansion and acceleration, given by expert trainers and specialists.
OTF is a specialist fund in investing in startups and innovative and creative ideas in the IT sector in Oman and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
