Muscat: The Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) inaugurated its new business identity recently.
The corporate image that features an axis symbol and five main colours, was revealed at the inaugural ceremony that was held under the patronage of Yahya bin Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD).
In a detailed overview, OAMC shared the inspiration behind their new business identity. The colour green, for instance, represents the tourism sector, while blue pays homage to civil aviation, both referencing Oman's beauty as a prime destination. Gold, on the other hand, represents the logistics sector, while silver was used as a nod to the Sultanate's diverse investment opportunities. Red stands at the centre of the logo, representing the focal point of the new brand image.
Additionally, an audio identity was also inaugurated. The audio identity was inspired by an old Omani folk song that was performed at the opening of the Sultanate's first airport in Bait Al Falaj, making it a fitting tribute to the nation's culture and remarkable growth over the last 47 years.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Ayman bin Ahmed Al Hosni, CEO of OAMC, said, “The new identity of Oman Airports will serve as a springboard to launch our ambitions to the greatest of our abilities, overcoming all difficulties with the determination of people of this beloved country who are doing their best to ensure that Oman takes its place as a strategic hub between East and West."
