Omani referees officiate at Karate Premier League

Muscat: Omani karate referees impessed all while officiating in the recent Karate Premier League in Dubai.

According to information received from Oman Karate Committee, the Dubai Premier League took place at Al Wasl Club between February 16 and 18.

During the championships, as many as ten international and Asian level Omani referees officiated in the competitions.

The Omani referees also participated in a referees course conducted between February 12 and 15.

The Omani referees who were part of the Dubai event were Ahmed Said Al Zakwani, Salem Darwish Al Qutaiti, Yousuf Musallam Al Siyabi, Hilal Mohammed Al Abdali, Sulaiman Khalifa Al Hinai, Ali Mohammed Al Raeesi, Salem Suliman Al Masroori, Faris Nasser Al Busaidi, Muhyee Lutfi and Nassma Wanas.

After the course, the judges’ classification examinations were conducted leading to Ahmed Al zakwani receiving a judge B classification in kumite, Sulaiman Al Hinai and Hilal Al Abdali getting judge B classification in kata and Yousuf Al Siyabi recceing a judge B classification in kata and kumite.

Oman Karate Committee chairman Brigadier Abdul Malik bin Ghassan Al Mazrooi and members congratulate the internationally classified referees and wished them more success in the future.
