Bought faulty furniture? Get your money back like these customers did

Muscat: The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) in Barka managed to recover OMR2,120 from several consumers as part of its efforts to resolve complaints.
PACP said, “One of the cases was related to a consumer who bought doors for his house. A couple of days after fixing them the doors began to show cracks. The consumer spoke to the shop owners but they refused to cooperate and resolve the matter, due to which he filed a complaint with PACP. The authorities then took up the matter after which the shop owner returned OMR320 to the consumer.”
In the second and third case, consumers complained against two establishments for delaying the delivery of furniture and the delivery of security and safety tools, respectively. An agreement was reached and the store agreed to return OMR300 to the first consumer and OMR1,500 to the second.
