689 abandoned cars towed by Muscat Municipality last year

Muscat: Municipal authorities are continuing to rid the capital's streets of abandoned cars, with Muscat Municipality now also towing vehicles in Muttrah.

"Muscat Municipality in Muttrah has begun its campaign to remove abandoned and neglected vehicles parked in public areas, that distort the public landscape," the Municipality said.

Since last year, Muscat Municipality has removed 689 abandoned vehicles from the Industrial area of Mabella.

"Seeb Municipality continues its efforts in the process of moving vehicles that were discarded in the industrial area in Mabella, where the number of discarded vehicles transferred is now at 689," the Municipality stated.
