Mwasalat announces bus service on two new routes

Muscat: The National Transport Company (Mwasalat) will launch Muscat-Rustaq, Muscat-Sumail routes, starting on Friday, in response to the public’s desire to operate direct and round trip routes in various wilayats of the Sultanate during the official work periods.
Mwasalat will operate buses on the new routes (round trip) with two daily journeys in each direction. The first journey will depart from Rustaq at 5:45 am and reach Muscat at 7 am. It leaves Sumail at 6 am to reach Muscat at 7 am.
Mwasalat said the timings of the new routes were fixed while taking into account the ability of employees to visit Muscat and return to the wilayats easily. The Muscat–Rustaq route will take the Muscat Highway as follows: (starting from the Al Khuwair pedestrian tunnel - the bus station in Al Athaiba - Al Sahwa Tower - Al Hazm Roundabout – Rustaq at Sultan Qaboos Mosque.
The Muscat-Sumail route will be as follows: Al Khuwair Pedestrian Tunnel - Bus Station in Al Athaiba–Al Sahwa Tower Station - Fanja at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque – Bidbid near the Oman Arab Bank branch - Sumail at the gate of Sumail. The bus will return on the same path to the starting point. All users can purchase tickets from different offices of the company or from the bus.
Mwasalat indicates that it will operate another direct “back and forth” routes from the Governorate of Muscat to a number of wilayats, as well as other new routes within the Governorate of Muscat in the future.
