Bank Muscat cheque deposit facility on CDMs evokes strong response

Muscat: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, as part of its e-channel deployment strategy has evoked a strong response to cheque deposit facility on cash deposit machines (CDMs).
The innovative cheque deposit automated (CDA) solution is available on the network of CDMs (Cash Deposit machines) across the Sultanate.
Customers can use the cheque deposit facility 24 x 7 without visiting branch tellers. They can deposit cheques at their convenient time, during or after the banking hours at Bank Muscat CDMs. The easy, fast and secure cheque deposit facility helps customers save time and effort by dropping into their nearest Bank Muscat CDM.
Customers can approach any Bank Muscat branches CDMs with the cheque, select the preferred language and press cheque deposit option on the main menu.
The customers will be prompted to insert their debit card, select the account to be credited, insert the cheque, verify details of the cheque and enter the amount on the cheque.
Once confirmed, customers will receive a confirmation message and a receipt of the deposit. Cheques deposited in the branch CDMs before 11 am will be credited on the same day, otherwise the next working day.

Bank Muscat CDMs are increasingly being used for cheque deposit transactions done at the bank. Encouraged by the overwhelming response, the bank has deployed CDMs at offsite locations in order to facilitate further migration and automation of cash deposit transactions away from the branches at public domains such as shopping malls.
