Muscat: Clear skies are forecast over most of the Sultanate, with temperatures ranging from 36 degrees Celsius in Muscat to 27 degrees Celsius in Sohar, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
“The highest temperature in Muscat is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius while the lowest would be 21 degrees Celsius. While temperatures in Sohar, Sur and Nizwa will reach a high of 27, 37 and 34 degrees Celsius respectively,” the Public Authority for Civil Aviation said.
They further added, “Low-level clouds or fog is expected in South Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar, Al Wusta, and along parts of Oman’s coastal areas.”
Sea winds are predicted to be light during the day and night in coastal areas along the Sea of Oman, while wind in areas along the Arabian Sea will be light to moderate.
“The sea state in Musandam Sea is expected to be moderate. While the waves in the coastal areas of Southern Al Sharqiyah will reach up to a height of two metres, the waves around the rest of the Sultanate will reach up to a height of one metre,” PACA said.
However, PACA warns about “low visibility levels during a thundershower and fog.”
