Weather update: Things are heating up in Oman

Muscat: Temperatures in Muscat are expected to reach a high of 33 degrees Celcius today, while Nizwa will see a low temperature of 20 degrees, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.

"The temperature in Muscat is expected to reach 33 degrees with a minimum temperature of 19 degrees, while in Salalah, the maximum temperature will be 26 degrees and lowest will be 19 degrees," PACA said online.

Al Buraimi, Sohar, and Nizwa will experience highs of 31, 30 and 32 degrees respectively.

"Clear skies over most of the Sultanate, with chances of low clouds or intermittent fog during the late night and early mornings," PACA said.

Winds blowing on the coastal areas of the Oman Sea, Northeast winds will be mild to moderate during the day and night,

"The sea state is expected to be calm in most of the coastal areas, the maximum height of waves will reach one meter," PACA added.
