Ministry of Health set to welcome Pharmaceutical Care Conference participants

Muscat: Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Directorate General of Medical Supplies, is preparing to welcome more than 1,000 pharmacists and assistants pharmacists, doctors, and nurses from around the world for the 8th Pharmaceutical Care Conference.
Organised under the theme “Towards Excellence in Pharmacy Practice”, the event will be held at the Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.
Attendees will represent some of the most acclaimed regional and international health institutions, including the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Federation of International Pharmacists, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP Canada), and the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists, as well as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), and the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, among others.
The three-day conference will feature the presentation of 39 working papers, in addition to 17 workshops, eight plenary sessions and an exhibition by pharmaceutical companies.
