All-new 2018 GMC Terrain comes with turbocharged engines

Muscat: With the all-new 2018 Terrain, GMC enters a new chapter of design seamlessly blending the finer details with the offering of an unforgettable drive with turbocharged engines.
From shedding nearly 500 pounds overall, striking C-shaped LED signature lighting to a floating roof and an innovative electronic precision shifter, the model has entered a new generation further widening its appeal. Its tagline ‘Get Ready Like a Pro’ reiterates its commitment to packing in a punch despite its compact size.
“The all-new 2018 Terrain offers an impressive package with premium features and styling delivering power quickly and smoothly on demand due to the new turbocharged engines,” stated Satbir Singh, GM – Sales, Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co.
Exterior
The 2018 Terrain has a distinct presence. It has been redesigned from the ground up with stronger, sharper and more sculpted elements. Each of the trim has a distinctive grille. The striking C-shaped LED signature lighting shapes the Terrain’s powerful front end and along with the HID headlamps, providing brilliant light to cut through the darkness. Tail lamps with LED signature lighting complete the model’s bold design from front to back. Its smoother styling along with a stunning floating roof imbues it with more visual lightness.
Interior
The versatile and purposeful interior of the all-new 2018 Terrain is a seamless extension of the exterior creating a cohesive look. A combination of bold styling, first-class comfort and plenty of space is as much about refinement as it is about utility.
However, the biggest change is the transmission – the traditional shift gives way to an innovative Electronic Precision Shifter, a series of push and pulls buttons mounted low on the centre stack below the climate control system that frees up a lot of console space. Park, neutral and low is all selected by pushing buttons, while reverse and drive are engaged by pulling up on switches that resemble power window controls.
The ‘Floating’ Rear Pillar is a notable detail that adds to the 2018 Terrain style statement. The model also features a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel, real aluminium trim and soft-touch materials to enhance the driving experience and maximise comfort for both, the driver and passengers. Comfortable firm front bucket seats have no hard spots where the elbows come to rest and there is plenty of space for the rear passengers as well.
The versatility of the Terrain 2018 not only allows for the second-row seats to fold flat but also the front passenger seat that makes it possible for the vehicle to accommodate objects up to 8 feet long. A hands-free power programmable liftgate makes loading cargo easier than ever.
Performance
Quiet and comfortable, the Terrain 2018 offers an enjoyable driving dynamics. A range of two all-new turbocharged gas engines, including the new 1.5L with 170-hp and 2.0L with 252-hp are paired with nine-speed automatic transmissions, advanced Stop/Start technology and cap-less fuel fill.
Front Wheel Drive (FWD) is standard that comes with the following modes:
Normal/Tour: Optimised for everyday driving conditions
