Muscat: Oman’s Royal Cavalry participated in the Masters Longines tournament at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, after it received an invitation from the organisers, thanks to the Royal Cavalry’s world reputation in horsemanship and equestrian events.

Brigadier General Abdulrazak bin Abdulkader Alshahwarzi, commander of the Royal Cavalry, represented the unit at the event and presented a work paper on the Royal Cavalry’s objectives, role, achievements and membership in world horse organisations, in addition to its care of horse breeding.

The Royal Cavalry won also silver and bronze medals at the 27th Qatar International Arabian Horse Show. Royal Cavalry’s filly Bristina won silver medal in the filly category, while Europa won bronze in the mares category.
