Muscat: Indian expats are travelling in their thousands from Salalah, Sohar and Sur to listen to their Prime Minister Narendra Modi speak in the Sultanate's capital.

"ISC Sohar has arranged for two buses, accommodating about 65 people in all, to ferry people to and from Muscat for the event. ISC members were charged OMR3 for a single ticket while non-members were asked to pay OMR5 for the same," Rajesh said, adding that people had been signing up till late last night to be able to book their spot on the buses.

"We were giving out passes until 10:30 pm last night. We gave out passes to people who registered online as well," he said.
