Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014. He is the 16th Prime Minister of the nation and the first one born in independent India.
A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014.
He is the second most followed world leader on Twitter, after US President Donald Trump.
In the last three-and-a-half years, he has launched numerous initiatives to promote the growth and development of India.
