Oman, Paraguay commerce ministers hold bilateral trade, cooperation talks

Muscat: Bilateral trade avenues, utilisation of Omani ports and cooperation in metrology were some of the issues discussed by the trade and industry ministers of the Sultanate and Paraguay on Wednesday.
Dr. Ali bin Mas’oud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry received in his office on Wednesday Gustavo Leite, Minister of Industry and Commerce in the Republic of Paraguay.
The two sides discussed the possibility to import livestock and animal feed from Paraguay and exporting urea fertiliser and fuels to that country.
The talks also touched on cooperation in the fields of metrology and standards, besides discussing means of enhancing trade between the two countries by using the Omani ports.
The Paraguayan Minister of Industry and Commerce is visiting the Sultanate currently, on invitation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to explore means of commercial cooperation between the two countries and to hold meetings with the Omani officials and businessmen.
