Taiwan: A 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred near the Taiwan city of Hualien, trapping people under rubble and collapsing several buildings.
Over a hundred people are known to be wounded, according to the island's government. There's been at least two deaths, but exact estimates are still coming in.
It's been reported that an entire hotel has been destroyed. It happened just before midnight. Transport in and out of the city has been hampered.
Authorities say two bridges have suffered damage or have been shut down. A highway has also been closed.
A weaker quake had hit the region just two days prior.
