BankDhofar introduces first futuristic self-service ATMs in Oman

Muscat: Reaffirming its position as one of the leading banks in Oman and delivering on its commitment to deploy the latest technologies, BankDhofar introduced NCR SelfServ 80-Series ATMs. This renovation of BankDhofar’s existing self-service network will enable the bank to deliver next generation of self-service banking.

Commenting on the technological breakthrough for BankDhofar, Dr Tariq Taha, chief information officer noted, “Bank Dhofar is well-known for being innovative and constantly striving to be ‘the best bank for its customers’ by making banking easy and always available. With the introduction of the innovative NCR SelfServ 80-Series ATMs, we have a robust platform to spur future growth strategies and offer next-generation customer experience. We are proud to be the first in the country to offer this revolutionary technology that delivers intuitive and striking interfaces to access banking transactions and services on-the-go.”

As part of its process of continuous development, BankDhofar will replace its NCR Personas ATMs with a new family of NCR SelfServ 80 Series. These will help Bank Dhofar transform its retail banking and deliver an enriched customer experience.

The new user-friendly ATM series is featured with a wide screen that supports multi-touch function and high-security level. Unlike other ATMs, the new family of NCR SelfServ 80 Series, comes with an added feature of cash dispenser providing up to 60 note bunch which is around OMR 3,000 per transaction. Additionally, customers may deposit up to 4,000 notes and 400 checks.



Elaborating on the user-friendly feature, Marwan Mohammed Al Zadjali, head of Alternative Delivery Channels said: “At BankDhofar we constantly endeavour to offer convenient services to our customers with a total peace of mind. The replacement of new NCR ATM series will ensure providing a positive impact on brand image and the consumer experience.”
