His Majesty Sultan Qaboos receives President Sisi of Egypt

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said received President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt who arrived on a three-day state visit to the Sultanate.
An official welcome ceremony was accorded for the Egyptian President. Upon the arrival of the motorcade of the president near the reception building at Muscat Gate, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said led the welcoming party for the Egyptian president.

Alongside with His Majesty the Sultan, the Egyptian president was also received by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Minister of Justice and Darwish bin Ismail Al Bulushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs.

Surrounded by horse riders, the motorcade of His Majesty and Egyptian president proceeded to Al Alam Place gate.
On the arrival of the motorcade at Al Alam Palace, the Royal Guard of Oman played a musical piece, while the trumpet was played on the arrival of two leaders at Al Alam Palace Guesthouse square.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan accompanied the Egyptian president to the Dais of Honour where the National Anthem of Egypt was played while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute for the guest. Then, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying President Sisi.
The president also shook hands with the Chairmen of the State Council and Majlis Al Shura, ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Royal Oman Police (ROP), and members of the Mission of Honour accompanying the guest.
His Majesty the Sultan and President Sisi proceeded to the hall and exchanged cordial conversations. The two leaders reviewed the good relations binding the Sultanate and Egypt, as well as the fruitful cooperation between them in various spheres that serve the common interests of both the Omani and Egyptian people.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs (Head of Mission of Honour Accompanying the President), Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Minister of Justice, Darwish bin Ismail Al Bulushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Issa’ei, Sultanate’s ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, while it was attended from the Egyptian side by the official delegation accompanying the President of Egypt.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his accompanying delegation were received upon their arrival at the Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs (Head of Mission of Honour Accompanying the President), Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Issa’ei, Sultanate’s ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, Ambassador of Egypt and members of the Egyptian Embassy in Muscat.
The Egyptian President is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Sameh Shukri, Foreign Minister, Mustafa Sherif Mahmoud, Chief of the Egyptian President’s Office, Eng. Tariq Qabeel, Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Hala Helmy, Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, Lt.Gen Mohammed Ahmed Zaki, Commander of the Republican Guard, Maj.Gen Abbas Mustafa Kamil, Director of the Office of the Egyptian President and acting head of the General Intelligence Service, Mohammed Ahmed Fahmi, Ambassador of Egypt to the Sultanate and a number of officials.
