Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry gets new chairman

Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yusuf has been elected as the new chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) for 2018 - 2022 .
Dr. Ali bin Mas’oud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry met with new members of the Board of Directors of OCCI at the office premises yesterday in the presence of Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Head of the Main Committee for OCCI Board Elections.
Dr. Al Sunaidi called on the new Board of Directors to work hard to serve the OCCI, the private sector and the national economy in general. Qais Mohammed, who is the CEO of the Al Yousef Group, was elected by a secret ballot. Members also elected two new vice-presidents and two other members comprising five executive committees. Dr Salim bin Saleem Al Junaibi and Rashid bin Amer Al Miselhy were elected as vice-chairmen, Hassan bin Hatheeth Al Bathari and Anwar bin Hamed Al Sinaani were elected as executive committee members.
