Muscat: Relevant authorities have advised residents to pay heed to certain traffic restrictions that will remain in place for some time. For instance, the road leading from Muttrah to Darsait intersection will be closed.
The Muscat Municipality made the announcement on its official Twitter handle. They said they have executed the decision in collaboration with the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
“Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the ROP, notes that traffic on the slow track coming from Muttrah towards Darsait intersection will be completely closed. Please take caution and use alternative routes,” a tweet on the Muscat Municipality’s official Twitter handle stated.
Further, the ROP announced that it is now prohibited to park vehicles on both sides of the Sultan Qaboos Street from Sunday to Tuesday.
“The ROP’s directorate of public relations announces that it is prohibited for vehicles to be parked on both sides of the road at Sultan Qaboos Street from Al Sahwah roundabout to Madinat As Sultan Qaboos, including the Marine Road, as of Sunday morning (4-2-2018) to Tuesday (6-2-2018),” an official statement read.
“The ROP calls upon drivers of vehicles to abide by the announcement and cooperate with police officers to serve public interest,” it added.
