Schedule of Muscat Securities Market Forum announced

Muscat: The 12th Muscat Securities Market (MSM) Forum will open on February 12th at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The two-days forum is being organised by Muscat Securities Market (SMS) in cooperation with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) represented by the College of Economics and Political Science.
The 12th Muscat Securities Market Forum will be distinguished and different from previous years and will be held for the first time outside the campus which we have been accustomed to during the past years, said Raed bin Hussain Al Hooti, Director of the Director General Office and Acting Director of the Department of Information and Awareness at MSM.
Large spaces at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre provide an opportunity to diversify events and programmes of an interactive nature and awareness of the forum, he said.
“The corners of the exhibitions will host a variety of activities, where there will be part of the student projects related to economic and investment aspects, and another part for the participating institutions, including the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Muscat Clearing and Depository Company (MCDC), Ubar, a brokerage company, National Investments Development Company (TANMIA) one of the investment funds, BankMuscat through the Junior Investor Project, and Omantel, through which they present their experience as a public joint stock company, the MSM Brokerage Association and Amwal Financial Investments.
He said that the continuation of the forum at its twelfth session is based on the keenness of Muscat Securities Market and Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the College of Economics and Political Science, on the importance of highlighting the capital market sector and its mechanism of work and its impact on the national economy, besides its’ being an opportunity to raise investment awareness among higher education students in particular, and society in general.
