Consumer authority in Oman recovers more than OMR100k

Muscat: Oman's Public Authority of Consumer Protection (PACP) recovered more than OMR100,000 for a number of consumers in North Sharqiyah last year, according to the agency's annual report.

A statement from PACP read, "The Department managed to recover OMR108,376 for consumers in 2017 in the various sectors it supervises. The number of complaints received during the same period was 393, with 121 violations found."

As for the number of goods recovered, 68 items were returned, along with 34 alloy wheels, 19 electrical devices, six cars and four spare parts.
