Omani consulate in India issues visa advisory for citizens

Muscat: All Omanis travelling to India on medical grounds must hold a medical visa, the Omani consulate in Mumbai said on Monday.
“Even if you are going for routine tests, you need to obtain a medical visa,” the Consulate said.
In recent times, India has also emerged as a preferred destination for medical and wellness tourism, with numerous Omanis choosing India for their medical treatment at various state-of-the-art hospitals.
With a view to further streamline and rationalise the existing visa fee regime, Government of India has introduced various changes in the existing visa fee structure for foreign visitors travelling to India, including Omanis.
