BankDhofar launches graduates development programme

Muscat: In response to the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to create job opportunities for young Omanis, BankDhofar recently launched graduates development programme.
Attending the launch event was Mohammed Sulaiman Said Al Nadabi, assistant manager of employment at Ministry of Manpower, in the presence of Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar and members of executive management team. The programme, which was launched in Middle East College, aims at evaluating capabilities of fresh graduates for various job positions at BankDhofar.
Elaborating on the programme, Al Ojaili noted, “At BankDhofar we place great importance in providing job opportunities for national manpower in different specialities. The launch of graduates development programme translates our response to the directives of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said to create employment opportunities for Omani graduates. The programme will support our vision to develop capabilities of graduates before joining BankDhofar in a way that serves our “Together 2020” vision to be the best in Gulf.”
“BankDhofar constantly endeavours to attract Omani youth and train them to join BankDhofar family. Through conducting various training courses and programmes we guarantee to achieve our expectations of enhancing the performance of our employees which positively reflects in our operations. We at BankDhofar continue our efforts to provide suitable job opportunities for young Omani graduates for the progress and prosperity of our nation,” added Nasser Said Al Bahantah, chief human resources officer.
The graduate development programme will take care of the growing needs of the business to full fill the various transformation initiatives and strengthen the Omanisation levels across the bank. Under the programme, 90 Omani graduates will be hired in-line with Council of Ministers’ directive, to have 25,000 Omanis hired in 2018. Successful candidates will go through intensive training courses in BankDhofar Performance Academy, which was launched earlier this year as learning and development platform. Located in Panorama Mall – 3rd floor, Performance Academy includes classrooms where training sessions are conducted, a library full of resources, and Computer labs. Additionally, with the aim of equipping its employees with required skills to best serve the customers, the academy includes a mock branch where employees are trained and they go through the real experience.
