SAF seminar for AShumookh II, Swift Sword III exercises held

Muscat: The Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) on Monday organised a seminar on “General Mobilisation” under the patronage of Lt.Gen Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani, SAF Chief of Staff.
The seminar was held within the framework of SAF preparations for A’Shumookh II, Swift Sword III Exercises and in activation of the Royal Decree No. 76/2008 on the General Mobilisation Law, as well the Royal Decree No. 75/2008 on State of Emergency Law.
The seminar in which several military and security units, as well as civil institutions concerned with the General Mobilisation Law and the State of Emergency Law, comes to activate roles and assignments of such institutions as per developments of A'Shumookh II, Swift Sword III Exercises.
The seminar was attended by the Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), the Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), the Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), Secretary General of Military Affairs at the Royal Office, Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service (ISS) for Operations, Secretary General of the National Security Council at the Royal Office, senior officers at SAF, military and security units.
All military and security units, as well as civil institutions are preparing for the execution of A’Shumookh II, Swift Sword III Exercises, which will be held in the Sultanate during the last quarter of 2018 by SAF and the British Armed Forces of the Crown.
