Muscat: Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council received at the State Council premises in Al Bustan affiliates of the 5th national defence course.

During the meeting, he hailed the efforts made by Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the great works it makes for the nation. He praised the vital role played by the National Defence College in rehabilitating the national caders and enhancing their qualitative capabilities as embodies of the royal care of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said in developing the Omani human resources at various fields and all levels to serve the needs of the comprehensive development march witnessed by the Sultanate in all fields.

He affirmed that the State Council is keen on promoting its role in national work backed by the royal care for the Shura process.

He pointed out that the State Council premises reflects His Majesty’s interest in the Shura march and providing it with all means for its development.



On his part, Maj. Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commander of the National Defence College said that the visit comes in bid to have an idea about the functions of the State Council, its premises and the facilities that help it play an active role in the national work and development process.

Afterward, there was a video on the State Council. After the video, the Chairman of State Council answered the various queries of the 5th National Defence College’s affiliates.

The delegation toured the various facilities of the State Council.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Dr. Al Khattab bin Ghalib Al Hinai, Deputy Chairman of the State Council, Dr. Khalid bin Salim Al Saeedi, Secretary General and some members.
