Oman junior paddlers train ahead of world meet

Muscat: A 13-member young Oman table tennis team are undergoing a training camp ahead of Oman Junior and Cadet Open, a world level tournament on ITTF Premium Junior Circuit, to be organised in Oman next month.
The training camp is being organised at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) and the players selected for the training camp are Al Munther Al Ghassani, Muaz Al Shahi, Esa Al Riyami, Abdulrahman Al Zaabi and Hussain Al Lawati (cadets category) and Mishal Al Shahi, Mohammed Al Balushi and Abdullah Al Balushi (junior category).
According to Oman Table Tennis Committee, another young Omani talent Ahmed Al Riyami is scheduled to undergo a training camp in Jordan from January 20 to 26. He will be accompanied by coach Abdullah Al Hajri.
The Oman Junior and Cadet Open, scheduled to take place at the SQSC from February 7 to 11, will see participation of 114 players from 18 countries.
