National Detergent gets enthusiastic response from students to 'Clean Oman' campaign

Muscat: National Detergent Company (NDC) has received an enthusiastic response from Omani school students in Sur to its ‘Clean Oman’ initiative as part of which they were asked to submit sketches that highlight their thoughts on cleanliness and hygienic living.
The students, who have posted their sketches on NDC Facebook page, stand a chance to win smartphones and tablets for their imaginative submissions.
NDC had launched its ‘Clean Oman’ campaign for Omani school students in Sur in November 2017. As part of the ‘Clean Oman’ initiative, NDC team visits schools and addresses students from class V to VII about the importance of staying healthy at home and school. They also highlight the importance of keeping Oman clean.
The ‘Clean Oman’ campaign, which was earlier launched in the Muscat governorate, had reached out to over 40,000 students. The initiative, supported by Ministry of Education, has been very popular among students.
Anish Kumar, head of Marketing and Regional Sales, NDC, said, “We have received very impressive submissions from extremely talented students in Oman. Their sketches convey the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in a creative way. We can see the tremendous effort they have put into completing the drawings. While conveying a social message, they have incorporated their favourite Bahar products into their drawings. We have understood that Bahar is the favourite brand of many families going by the feedback from students. We are delighted with the response from Omani school students in Sur.”
He added, “The ‘Clean Oman’ campaign was received very well in the Muscat governorate. We sincerely thank Ministry of Education for their backing to this initiative. The purpose of this campaign is to educate students on the significance of inculcating clean habits.”
The campaign will reach out to schools in the Batinah region and other parts of Sultanate in the future.
‘Clean Oman’ campaign is in step with NDC’s corporate social responsibility strategy that focuses on three main elements – the environment, human capital and community. NDC is pleased to play an important role in creating environmental awareness through its various CSR initiatives.
As a responsible corporate citizen of Oman, NDC has been involved in various social initiatives like using Omani transporters for its logistics activities and giving preference to use the services of Omani nationals at every possible step.
The company encourages local talent and motivates them to become self-employed by giving training and jobs directly or indirectly related to the detergent industry.
