Sayyid Fahd receives Russian ambassador in Oman

Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Tuesday received Dr. Envarbik Fazelianov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation on the conclusion of his tour of duty.
Sayyid Fahd told him to convey the greetings of His Majesty the Sultan to President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation along with his good wishes and the friendly Russian Government.
Sayyid Fahd hailed the growing bilateral relations and the fruitful efforts exerted by the ambassador during his tour of duty wishing him success in his future missions.
On his part, the Russian Ambassador expressed his satisfaction for the tangible progress the bilateral cooperation witnessed. He affirmed that the Russian leadership highly esteems H.M. the Sultan and his wise policies on the regional and International levels. He added that his country seeks to foster and enhance relations with the Sultanate in the different fields. The ambassador expressed his gratefulness for the Sultanate’s officials for their cooperation in facilitating his mission.
The meeting covered means of enhancing aspects of bilateral relations and reviewed the recent International developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.
