Muscat: Clear to partly cloudy skies are forecast over the governorate of Musandam with chance of isolated rain, while the rest of the Sultanate will see mainly clear skies, according to a weather report by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).

"Clear to partly cloudy skies over the governorate of Musandam and parts of the Sea of Oman coast areas and Al-Hajar Mountains, with chance of isolated rain. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate," PACA said in its report.

Temperatures will range from 15 degrees Celsius in Saiq to 24 degrees in Muscat and Sohar; 25 degrees in Buraimi and Nizwa; 26 degrees in Khasab, Sur, Rustaq and Salalah; 27 degrees in Masirah and Ibra; and 28 degrees in Haima and Ibri.

Wind will be light to moderate in a northwesterly direction over most of Oman, changing to northeasterly over the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman.

Waves are expected to be moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Musandam, Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea, with a maximum height of 2.5 metres.
