New garbage bins in Oman means no excuses for litter

Muscat: A number of garbage bins have been installed in public places by Muscat Municipality.

The work was part of Muscat Municipality’s project 2018 to improve services in at Wadi Al-Bahais near the Lulu Roundabout in Al-Seeb.

The Municipality imposed fines of OMR 100 for people who contravene the regulations of public places, according to Muscat Municipality.

The follow-up team from the Municipality looks for violations such as tampering of public utilities, in collaboration with the Royal Oman Police, and has "controlled and fined a number of individuals in Bausher and Ghubrah Lake Park," Muscat Municipality said via its Twitter account.
