Designated Oman-UAE border crossings for expats

Expats driving to the United Arab Emirates will soon have fewer border crossing options.
From January 1, 2018, expats living in Oman should use the Khatm Al Shikla and Mezyad crossings
The two crossings are about 58 kilometres away from each other.
It's not yet clear whether the popular Hatta crossing point will remain open
