Muscat bourse seminars to focus on financial planning

Muscat: As part of its initiative under the theme 'How Many Riyals', Muscat Securities Market (MSM) will start implementing a number of awareness seminars on financial planning. The seminars, which target employees at the various public and private organisations, aim at promoting financial planning culture.
MSM Media and Awareness Department will organise a number of lectures at the various public, private and civil society organisations. A number of financial planning experts and academicians will give lectures to staff at the Ministry of Regional Municipality and Water Resources, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Sports Affairs and Oman Woman Association members in A'Seeb.
Mohammed bin Issa Al Balushi, head of MSM Media and Awareness Department affirmed that the invitation sent by MSM to these organisations have received positive response, especially that the initiative comes at a time many organisations seek to enhance their staff's financial planning skills.
He added that 'How Many Riyals' initiative aims at advising the targeted audience of the financial planning concept, its importance in public life, the steps followed to ensure sound financial planning, the role & importance of financial planning on individual and family levels, the future financial goals and how to plan for them.
