Muscat: Fans who want to travel to Kuwait to cheer on Oman's national team at the semi-finals of the Arab Gulf Cup of Nations can now book their tickets on a special SalamAir flight to Kuwait City.

The same-day return flight, which is priced at OMR89, departs Oman at 2:25 in the afternoon and arrives 90 minutes later. It departs Kuwait at 10pm that night and lands in Muscat at 1:15 early next morning.

Oman qualified for the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup after beating Saudi Arabia 2-0 and Kuwait 1-0, following a 1-0 defeat in their opening game against the United Arab Emirates, topping Group A in the process.

Bahrain finished second in Group B, following a 1-0 win over Yemen, as Iraq topped the group with a 2-1 win over Qatar.
