Muscat: 10 National Bank of Oman (NBO) customers from across Oman’s governorates have scooped OMR25,000 each in the November Al Kanz draw.
The winners were announced at a special event that took place in the bank’s new state-of-the-art headquarters, under the under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Hammad bin Hamad Al Ghaferi, Advisor of the Ministry of Civil Service.
Al Kanz draw was designed to promote a saving culture by enabling customers to potentially win cash prizes without risking their capital. The scheme was updated last year to ensure that customers from each region of the Sultanate are guaranteed to win and also includes rewards dedicated solely to the bank’s Youth Banking account holders. A total of OMR 3.251 million will have been given away this year by the end of 2017.
“We are delighted to be encouraging our customers to save by rewarding them with fantastic cash prizes every month,” said John Chang, general manager and chief retail banking officer at NBO. “This year we have awarded hundreds of winners, and the best news is that to finish 2017, we will have our biggest draw of all, with a total prize money of OMR 502,400 to be won. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our loyal customers for making our flagship savings programme successful throughout the country.”
The Al Kanz account is a flagship NBO product that offers customers the chance to grow their savings without risking their capital. Customers who maintain a minimum monthly average balance of OMR 100 or above are eligible to participate in the monthly prize draw.
Opening an account is easy and the earlier customers make a deposit and the longer they retain it, the higher their chances of winning.
