Cricket Coach of the Indian Social Club Shiv Gupta is a well known name in Oman's cricketing circle. Running companies and managing hundreds of staff is indeed a tough business and can keep you busy all day. But it is love for cricket which keeps him going.
"Cricket is part of my life line and oxygen system of my routine. I started playing for my school and then continued my passion during college time and represented my college team as well. The turning point of my cricketing time came when I landed in United States where cricket was a rare game to play in 2007. But I managed to set up my own team and stated playing for New York and New Jersey teams on both days of weekends. Then I took certification umpiring courses under ICC supervision panel in 2008-09 and now I am training the young generation," he says.
