RAO celebrates graduation of cadets, officers

Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) celebrated at the military parade ground in Mu’askar Al Murtafa on Wednesday the graduation of officer cadets of the Sultan Qaboos Military College (SQMC) and specialised university officers under the patronage of Nasser bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs.
The graduation ceremony began by the military salute to the chief guest while the RAO Music Band played the Royal Anthem. The leader of the parade took permission from the chief guest to inspect the front column of graduates. Then, the graduates advanced in slow and regular march passing before the main dais.
RCA Secretary General handed over the sword of honour to the officer cadet Yousef bin Abdullah Al Rubkhi from RAO who came first at the level of the officer cadets.
The graduation ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, commanders at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and other military and security services, senior officers at SAF and other security services in the state, retired commanders and senior officers, a number of military attaches of sisterly and friendly countries’ embassies in the Sultanate, RAO personnel and parents of the graduates.
The course involved a number of officers from the Royal Office, RAO, Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), Royal Oman Police (ROP), Sultan’s Special Force (SSF) and other military and security departments, military attaches, besides participation of officer cadets from several armed forces of the GCC countries.
