Three held over house fire death

Muscat: Three Omanis caused the death of a fellow citizen after they beat him unconscious then set fire to his house.
All three have been arrested, a Royal Oman Police spoesman said.
The three citizens were arrested after setting fire to the house in Al Athaiba and causing the death of the victim.
An ROP spokesman said all of the defendants were drinking alcohol at the house where the incident occurred. "The defendants disagreed with each other which then led to them fighting with the victim. One of the accused hit the victim with a bottle of alcohol on the head which led him to fall unconscious. The defendants hit him again and then one of the accused set fire to the house to hide the crime and escaped.”
The defendants were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the investigation.
