Hope for expat workers fighting labour dispute cases

Muscat: Labour law disputes will soon be settled faster, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced on Wednesday.
“The initiative for the improvement and development of the judicial system in the labour market within the framework of the National Program for the Promotion of Economic Diversification Tanfeeth, completed its meetings in order to reduce the duration of the labour cases, to develop the labour market,” the Ministry of Manpower announced.
Earlier this year, the ministry said it was keen to press ahead with recommendations given after the Tanfeedh labs, a series of workshops designed to realign Oman's economy and diversify away from oil and gas.
