Al Mantheri holds talks with EU group

Muscat: Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council received on Sunday a delegation from Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group in the European Union (EU) headed by Ramona Manescu, head of the EU Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Manthri expressed his hope that the visit will achieve its goals in supporting the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the European countries to greater horizons in order to serve interests of the two sides.
Enhancing bridges
He hailed the efforts of Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group in enhancing the bridges of cooperation between the Sultanate and the European countries, praising the EU Parliament’s experience on various parliamentary levels.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the EU, as well as discussing fields of expanding the joint cooperation between the two sides.
On her turn, Manescu expressed her delight and that of her accompanying delegation to visit the Sultanate, pointing out that the Sultanate has various elements and potentials to achieve further progress on various levels.

The meeting was attended by the honourable deputy chairmen of the State Council, members and Secretary General of the Council, the Sultanate’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and members of the Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group in the EU. — ONA
