Indian School Al Ghubra celebrates Elementary wing Annual Day

Muscat: The Annual Day of Kindergarten and classes 1 and 2 of Indian School Al Ghubra was celebrated on Tuesday, 12 December 2017. The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Asawari Deoras- Member, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman. The other dignitaries present were Mr. C.M. Najeeb – Vice Chairman, Board of Directors and Mr. Sunil K. - Convener, School Management Committee. The event began with the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India. The Principal, Mrs. Papri Ghosh in her speech accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Mrs. Asawari Deoras.

Mrs. Asawari Deoras was highly impressed with the spectacular show and recounted the need to look at the world through the eyes of the children. She also emphasized the enormous impact that the teachers have in moulding their lives and also requested the parents to appreciate the enthusiasm in their children.

The celebrations began with the melodious Welcome Song by the students of classes 1 and 2. The musical titled ‘Alien’s Day Out’ by the students of Kindergarten transported the audience to the mesmerizing world of fascinating experiences of aliens on Earth. It was followed by the musical titled 'The News ' by the students of classes 1 and 2. The breaking news of the day was that Winnie the Pooh is missing and the members of the Disneyland as well as the fans of Winnie went in search of him. Finally, he was found in the jungle where he had sought refuge. As part of the celebrations of their reunion, the children put across the meaningful message that 'Together We Can Make This World A Better Place '.

The moving model of the UFO and other innovative props, the themed backdrops, the dazzling costumes, the foot tapping music coupled with the enthusiastic performance of the students filled the air with a sense of gaiety. The photographs of the various school events on the screens was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all present.

It was a memorable evening for the children who put up this grand show and for guests and parents who witnessed it.
