The Oman Tourism Development Company's (OMRAN) ‘Winter Village’ is offering a wide array of fun activities for families and local community this winter season.
Complete with a food festival, thrilling games and live entertainment from some of winter’s favourite characters, OCEC – Madinat Al Irfan will create a unique experience for a family to enjoy.
The event also welcomes art enthusiasts to witness popular Omani artists creating unique outdoor artworks for display. Visitors can also enjoy painting and decorating with different designs and colours at the ‘Paint Your Own Bardan’, making their own sculptures of the winter ‘snow ball’ mascot.
Musical shows, including‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Beauty & the Beast’ and ‘Winter Wonder Singalong’ will take placedaily from 5pm to10pm. Music lovers will be entertained by Omani local musicians and performersat the ‘Just Jam Sessions’.
“This initiative provides an ideal opportunity for the public and businesses alike to experience OCEC’s state-of-the-art features, whilst bringing the Omani community together for a fantastic family day out. Aside from the array of festive activities we have on offer, entrance to the Winter Village is free and there will bemany prizes and giveawaysfor visitors to the Winter Village to enjoy”, stated Fuad Musafir, Event & Brand Specialist at OMRAN.
Visitors can enjoy the Season’s Market which features a range of restaurants and coffee shops and delicacy stalls, including participation from 10 Omani F&B outlets. Shoppers are also able to browse through stalls from more than 20 retail outlets run by Omani SMEs, including women and children’s accessories, fashion wear, home décor, cosmetics and much more.
Winter Village is set to enhance OCEC – Madinat Al Irfan as the pre-eminent multi-purpose venue in Oman and lead it to become ‘the talk of the town’ by creating appealing, joyful and memorable experiences for the entire local community to enjoy.
The entry to the village is free to public and Anchor is open on weekdays from 4pm - 10pm, and weekends from 4pm – 11pm.
